A legendary collaboration
Angel Bay, known for its high-quality beef, lamb, and veggie products, has captured New Zealand’s passion for burgers perfectly this year - with their limited-edition Smoky Barbeque Beef Patties. In conjunction with co-creator canoe athlete Dame Lisa Carrington, the patty is a unique offering - combining sports, food, and national pride.
An iconic New Zealand sports legend, Dame Lisa brings a fresh perspective to the mouth-watering collaboration.
Her love for barbeque cooking and Angel Bay’s quality products combined to create the bold, smoky flavour. The patty’s bespoke dark colour is a nod to our black-clad sporting legends flying the flag for New Zealand this year, making each burger a symbol of support for our sporting heroes
"Given Angel Bay had previously only partnered with chefs and foodie personalities, I was excited to break new ground,” Dame Lisa says.
“Collaborating with brands like Angel Bay provides me with a creative outlet, and the opportunity to support a charity close to my heart gave this partnership added depth.”
Dame Lisa’s favourite way to eat it involves: a toasted brioche bun, pickles, mayonnaise, fresh iceberg lettuce, and caramelised onion.
"Burgers are so versatile and tasty – you really can’t beat a good one,” she says.

The limited-edition Smoky Barbeque Beef Patties also stand out for another reason.

Every purchase supports the critical conservation efforts for this endangered species.
"It’s important we help kiwi to thrive because if we don’t, these birds will disappear entirely from Aotearoa," Dame Lisa says, highlighting the significance of the collaboration.
